As the VELUX EHF Champions League marked the culmination of its 25th season, the German city of Cologne was set to be the meeting place for Europe’s top four men’s teams and a who’s who of European handball as the biggest event in European club handball returns on 26/27 May 2018.
The EHF Champions League – VELUX EHF FINAL4 is the most important club handball competition in Europe – and one of the most prestigious indoor sports events in the world. Fans from across the globe gather to celebrate when Europe’s top teams fight for the coveted trophy of the VELUX EHF Champions League.
In their third straight appearance at the event, 2017’s runners-up Paris Saint-Germain Handball faced fellow French side HBC Nantes in the opening match of the event.
The second semi-final featured the trophy holders: Macedonian defending champions HC Vardar were up against the third French side competing, Montpellier HB.
